Invisalign is a teeth-straightening system that serves as a more comfortable alternative to traditional metal braces. During Invisalign treatment, you wear clear aligners custom-designed for you that gently move your misaligned teeth into a more aesthetically pleasing position.
Unlike metal braces, the clear aligners from Invisalign are barely noticeable, extremely comfortable, and removable.
Dr. Rad is an experienced Invisalign provider and determines if the teeth-straightening treatment is right for you during a consultation at Dentique.
Though it may sound too good to be true, Invisalign can fix almost any smile flaw, including:
Dr. Rad offers Invisalign to both her teen and adult patients. If you’re unhappy about your smile because of misalignment issues, contact Dentique today to see if Invisalign can help you.
Once Dr. Rad determines you’re a good candidate for Invisalign, she creates a digital map of your teeth straightening process. The digital map shows step-by-step exactly how the Invisalign aligners move your teeth into position, and the lab uses it to create your custom sets of clear aligners.
During Invisalign treatment, you wear each set of aligners for 1-2 weeks or as directed by Dr. Rad. To get the quickest results, she recommends you wear your aligners 20-22 hours each day, only removing them to eat and brush and floss your teeth.
You should start to notice an improvement in your smile within weeks of starting treatment. Though total treatment times vary, you may only need 12-18 months of Invisalign treatment to get results.
After Invisalign treatment, Dr. Rad recommends you wear a retainer to keep your teeth in their new position. Initially, you need to wear your retainer day and night. Then, as directed by Dr. Rad, you can reduce the amount of time you wear your retainer until you’re only wearing it at night.
Daily use of your retainer after Invisalign treatment may prevent your teeth from shifting out of position and help you maintain your perfectly aligned smile.
